Making way for a new electric upgrade!

Recently we installed over 60 brand new Rolec Electric Card Meters to every Static Caravan pitch on site. The operation to install the meters was one of the bigger tasks we’ve had in terms of scale and therefore we decided to install the meters when the park was closed, making sure the process was as seamless as possible and ready for the new season.

Conserving energy and heading for a greener way of holidaying!

To us, the installation of the meters has been important because we would like to ensure we can operate in a greener and environmentally friendly manner. The system is a simple-to-use interface, and using the Smartcard clients are able to see their available credit when their card is inserted into their meter or our top-up machine in the shop. Payment options can either be cash or card, we’re not a cashless society as of yet! And with the ability to be able to transfer credit back onto the Smartcards from the meters for future use, it seems a better way of conserving energy and also makes us more aware of the amount of electricity we are using.

The new meters are complete with IP44 interlock sockets and IP65 weatherproof polycarbonate enclosures, provided by one of the world’s leading specialists in outdoor electric equipment. They have been an important part of the park’s progression over the past year.
